1-31-2011 - Registration Opened
Registration for the 2011 Adirondack Nationals is now officially open! Last years show sold out in just 12 days and we expect it to sell out even faster this year. Don't hesitate or you'll miss out!
REMINDER: don't forget to include a self addressed stamped envelope and to sign the bottom of the registration form!
Webmasters Tip - Sometimes it can be hard to read peoples handwriting which can lead to mistakes. One way to help prevent this is to attach a printed address label at the top of your registration form. This little extra step helps more than you could imagine. If you choose to do this, don't forget to fill out the rest of the form!

WOMAN'S OASIS - With the continued success of the Woman's Oasis, we can no longer accommodate all of the vendors who wish to participate. To remedy this, we are adding a second building! We will be using the newly refurbished Towers Hall as Woman's Oasis II. Both locations will be filled with great vendors and are the perfect place to take a break from the cars and do a little shopping in air conditioned comfort.
PINK? - This year Albany Rods & Kustoms and the Adirondack Nationals will be working to raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This is a great cause and we are proud to be a part of it. More details about what we are doing to help will be announced in upcoming newsletters.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION! ? Thursday's ?Early Bird Registration? was a HUGE success and will be continued again this year. We were overwhelmed by the positive responses received. Again this year, you will be able to drive through registration on Thursday from Noon till 6pm. On Friday, stickered vehicles should still get in line, but will use the right hand lane to bypass registration and be parked Quickly. Friday's registration will run until till 6pm for those of you trying to get to Lake George after work and still be able to register your car in time to cruise.

11-22-2010 - Prize Raffle Announcement
The Grand Prize in this years Prize Raffle, a 383 Chevy Stroker Engine built by Hunt?s Machine, was not claimed during the Awards Ceremony. The rules of the raffle state that you must be present to win. We give winners until Sunday afternoon to claim their prizes. The unclaimed engine was returned to Hunt's Machine for storage while we evaluated our options.
After much consideration, we have decided it is best to bring the engine back to the show in 2011 and raffle it again. We would like to thank the many people who participated in the 2010 Prize Raffle. All of the proceeds from the raffle are donated to charities both local and national. A list of the charities that we support can be found on the Albany Rods and Kustoms web site.

Rules for the 2011 raffle will be as follows:
You must be present to win. Winning numbers will be announced during the awards ceremony. The awards ceremony begins at approximately 4pm on Saturday. Winners will be given until Sunday afternoon to claim their prize(s). Winning numbers will be posted at the event information trailer immediately following the awards ceremony. Prizes left unclaimed as of Sunday afternoon will be retained by Albany Rods and Kustoms (ARK) and raffled again the following year. All proceeds of the raffle are to be donated by ARK to the charities of their choice.

9-15-2010 - Congratulations & Thank You
We would like to congratulate ARK members Dana & Erin VanVeghten on the birth of their son Derek John VanVeghten, born on 9/15/2010 at 7:33pm, weighing 7lb 12oz. and measuring 21.5" long. Both Erin and baby are doing fine and should be coming home in a few days.

8-12-2010 - Kick-Off Party News
It has come to our attention that there may be a misunderstanding about the Kick-Off Party. Although we are now charging a cover charge to attend, this does not open the party to everyone. The party is ONLY for our registered show participants and their families. Each participant must provide us with their registration number and be checked off on the list at the door in order to attend. If we opened it up to everyone it would be larger than we could prepare for. We thank you for your understanding!

Raffle to Help Family of Fallen Soldier
We will be raffling off a life size cut-out of Dennis Gauge that will be given away this year during our awards ceremony. We hope to have the cut-out signed by Dennis during his visit this fall. All proceeds will be given to the family of Benjamin Osborn, the U.S. Army Specialist from Lake George killed in action in Afghanistan earlier this Summer. Tickets will be available at our event trailer during the Adirondack Nationals this September. Albany Rods & Kustoms will pay the shipping costs to send the cut-out to it's winner. (US or Canada mailing addresses only) Please help us raise money for this worthy cause!

5-12-2010 - News
Do you hate waiting in line on Friday or Saturday to get your spectator wristbands? We may have a solution. Beginning this year we will have tents set up to sell wristbands on Thursday Sept. 9th from Noon till 5pm.
This years show is shaping up to be the best one yet! We have Dennis Gage coming, tons of vendors on both Beach Rd. and in the Woman's Oasis, early registration for cars on Thursday along with the early wristband sale mentioned above. An engine raffle with other great prizes, and so much more! Plus we are working on a few things I'm not able to mention yet.
ARK only puts on one event each year and we work hard to make it the best show in the area. We can't wait till September!

Early Bird Registration
You?ve been asking us to begin vehicle registration on Thursday and we were listening. So this year we have added an ?Early Bird Registration?. You will be able to drive through registration on Thursday from Noon till 5pm. On Friday, stickered vehicles should still get in line, but will use the right hand lane to bypass registration and be parked quickly. We are hopeful that this will ease the congestion on Friday morning and make the process less stressful. In addition to the new Thursday hours, we have extended Friday?s registration till 7pm in an effort to help those of you trying to get to Lake George after work and still be able to register your car in time to cruise that night.
